$16.7 Million In Total Sales At Mecum Harrisburg 2016 Auction

70 Percent Sell-Through Rate, Standing-Room Only Crowds Mark Great Event

WALWORTH, Wis. – July 26, 2016 – Mecum Auctions celebrated a great three days in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with $16.7 million in total sales and an impressive 70 percent sell-through rate for the auction. The results further validate why Harrisburg is such a great central location to properly serve the incredible enthusiasm for collector cars in the northeastern United States. Evidence of this passion could be found in the standing-room only crowds that made their presence known throughout the entirety of the event and the fact that consignments came in from 26 states.

1967 Corvette 427/435 HP, Unrestored with 15,050 Miles to be offered at the Mecum Auction in Monterey

The Mecum Auction, scheduled for Aug 18-20, is at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa on the Del Monte Golf Course. This stunning 1967 Corvette convertible, Lot F102, will be offered on Friday. It has only 15,050 unrestored miles on it and is estimated to be worth $225,000 - $275,000.

Probably one of the prettiest places to hold an auction would be Monterey, California. The Mecum Auction, scheduled for Aug 18-20, is at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa on the Del Monte Golf Course.

The event has a spectacular array of supercars and sports cars from makers such as Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, McLaren, Ford, Bugatti, and Aston Martin as well as classics such as Duesenberg, Packard, and Peugeot. WALWORTH, Wis. – Jan. 31, 2014 – The largest collector car auction in the world lived up to its moniker once again with Mecum’s Kissimmee, Fla., event, held Jan. 17-26, offering a grand total of 2,750 cars and more than 3,000 items of Road Art throughout the 10 days of heated bidding and hard-hammering sales. Auction sales reached a hefty $63,435,490 in total with 1,759 of the vehicles exchanging hands for a sell-through rate of 64 percent.

Walworth, Wis. – Oct. 15, 2013 – The windy city welcomed Mecum Auctions with an exceptional sale and enormous crowds at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill., this past weekend. With 965 cars crossing the block throughout the three-day event, 615 hammered sold for a 64 percent sell-through rate and $18,634,223 in sales. The one-of-a-kind personal driver of Corvette’s original designer Harley J. Earl led auction sales with a hammer price of $1.5 million.

Walworth, Wis. -Sept. 11, 2013– Some things are just meant to be, and Mecum and Dallas are like engines and horsepower. As an event that began with an anticipated 1,000-vehicle lineup, the third annual Dallas auction exploded with 1,432 classic and collector cars crossing the Mecum block throughout the four-day event and 986 of them hammering sold. The auction is now in the books as one of the most successful Mecum auctions on record with an impressive overall sell-through rate of 70 percent and sale totals of a whopping $37,913,093, which includes the unsurpassed sale of collector Buddy Herin’s 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible (Lot S123) that brought a healthy $3.2 million.
